Malaysia Swimming Teachers’ Association (MSTA) is a non- profit organization that dedicates to the swimming teachers’ welfare and interest.
Our journey of dedication started from 2009. Founded in 2014 by a few passionate and senior experts in the aquatic industry, MSTA is created as a community for swim teachers and to provide them with a systematic teaching methodology in providing a safe and effective swim lessons to everyone.
MSTA celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 18 November 2024 at Silka Cheras Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We had the privilege to invite International Swimming Teachers Associations from Hong Kong and UK to join us for the celebration. We had the honour of President Dr. Patrick Yeung and CEO Paul Chan of Hong Kong Swimming Teachers Association, and Past CEO of IFSTA Mr. Garry Seghers as our special guests.
At the celebration, MSTA appreciated all founding members, namely Wee Chye Ghee, Wong Tong Poh, Yip Sou Meng, May Ang, Dato’ Jeffrey Tan and Mathilda Wong that’s has supported and contributed towards the vision of MSTA.

MSTA acknowledge all its Tutors and Trainers that has train all its members to be certified teachers for the past 10 years. MSTA shared its membership growth and developments in courses and events for the past years. Membership started with 59 members from the formation and now it has reach over 300. MSTA appreciated it strong relationships with international bodies that has support with international swim teaching courses from Swimming Teachers Association UK, Australia Swim Coaches and Teachers Association, Institution of Aquaphobia UK and International Council of Coaching Excellence. MSTA are members with various international organizations and took this opportunity to thank all its partners for the continual support throughout its 10 years.
MSTA had a cake-cutting ceremony, international delegates were invited to join in with the council members.
As we celebrating our 10th Anniverasy, MSTA had a special Outstanding Teacher’s Award to be nominated by MSTA Institution members. And the Outstanding Teacher’s Award for 2024 was awarded to Risyadinie Rasyiqah Binti Razmi from Hawary Sport Center.
MSTA had a best dress Lady & Gentlemen Prize to members to spark the occasion. Best Dressed Lady went to Ms. Crystal Tan and Best Dressed Gentleman went to Mr. Wong Kwan Seng from JC Swimming Academy. Our sponsors from Infinitive Communications presented the prizes.
As the night continues, we had more winners for luck draws prizes. 10 lucky members received Satay Celup Vouchers. The 2nd prize was a 2-night stay for two persons at Kuantan Beach Resort, sponsored by GreenG Gravity Sdn. Bhd., and the prize winner was Ms. Penny Tan from Aqua Spirit Swimming Academy. The celebration ended with the Grand Prize that was a holiday package for two persons for Asia Resort Taman Negara Pahang, and the lucky winner was Ms. Selina Chang from Swim the World Swim Academy.
