Do you want to promote development of infants and toddler in an aquatic environment?
This course is aimed at people who wish to enhance their Swim Australia™ Teacher certification and develop the competency and knowledge to plan and deliver lessons for infants and toddlers over six months of age and up to four using activities, games and toys to promote personal development and motor and cognitive skills.
By completing this programme, learners will gain the expertise to foster water confidence in children by engaging them in a variety of safe and enjoyable aquatic activities. Through play, exploration and encouragement, participants will develop fundamental swimming and water safety skills.
On successful completion of the course, learners will be will be accredited with the Swim Australia™ Teacher of Babies & Toddlers license.
On successful completion of the course, learners will:
- Have the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and teach water familiarization, buoyancy, mobility
- Have the knowledge and skills required to prepare for and teach water safety and survival skills
- Have the knowledge and skills required to plan and deliver lessons for infants and toddlers over six months of age
- Have the knowledge and skills to foster water confidence in children by engaging them in a variety of safe and enjoyable aquatic activities
