Appeals Policy
- We aim to provide a fair and reliable appeals process for all centre personnel and learners to follow if they have a dissatisfaction and/or a concern.
- Appeals are heard by individuals that have the appropriate competence to make decisions in each individual case and have had no prior involvement, or a personal interest in the case.
- We advise all learners to discuss any dissatisfactions and/or concerns with the centre coordinator, or if you have an enquiry relating to the result of the assessment please discuss this with the assessor to resolve the issue prior to following the appeal process.
- Learners must have exhausted the centres appeals policy and procedures before raising a complaint with the
- Awarding Organisation Safety Training Awards
If our complaints and appeals processes have been exhausted and you are not happy with the outcome, we may refer you to Safety Training Awards for further advice and guidance
Complaints Policy
- We aim to provide a fair and reliable complaints process for all centre personnel and learners to follow if they have a dissatisfaction and/or a concern.
- To address concerns immediately, respond positively and rectify any mistakes made.
- Learners must have exhausted the centres complaints policy before raising a complaint with the Awarding Organisation Safety Training Awards.
- If our complaints and appeals processes have been exhausted and you are not happy with the outcome, we may refer you to Safety Training Awards for further advice and guidance.
Equality and Diversity Policy
- To ensure that all courses we offer are inclusive and accessible to all learners
- To Promote fair access to courses, minimising any barriers to access or assessment by implementing reasonable adjustments and special considerations granted by Safety Training Awards.
- Providing support and relevant training and/or updates for all centre personnel, revising any policy or practice that could disadvantage individuals or groups of learners.
- Ensure that all centre personnel and learners are treated with dignity and respect regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
- To ensure that unfair treatment or unlawful discrimination, whether intentional or unintentional, direct or indirect is not tolerated within the centre.
Health and Safety Policy
- To provide suitable training to ensure all employees are competent in fulfilling their roles.
- To prevent accidents and/or any cases of work related ill health and to provide adequate management of health and safety risks occurring from any work-related activities.
- To engage and consult with all employees on the day to day health and safety conditions and to provide advice, guidance and supervision on occupational health.
- Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, also to ensure the safe storage and usage of substances.
- To implement emergency procedures for evacuation in case of a fire and/or any other significant incident.
